SUBJECT: ROTARY CLUB RIVER CLEAN UP
Tom McNair of the Elk River Rotary Club contacted me regarding a service
project that the Club is proposing. The "adopt a river" program would
involve the clean up of the Elk River from the Orono dam to the mouth of the
river. Mr. McNair requested that the City haul away the trash the Club
removes from the river and piles in an accessible location. This is consistent
with the City collecting trash bags when groups pick up litter in parks or on
road sides.

If the Council does not object, I will work with the Rotary Club on this
project.
