SUBJECT: EQUIPMENT PURCHASE
On June 16, 1994, Hennepin County Purchasing Coop members are having
an equipment auction. There are six items that other cities are selling that,
if they are in good condition and sell at a reasonable price, could be very
useable for the Street Department. Since it is used equipment that cannot be
inspected prior to the sale day and it is an auction, it is impossible to
estimate purchase prices, but I would ask the City Council's permission to
buy items that, in my judgment, would be a good value for the City of Elk
River.

The items of interest are one of two steel asphalt rollers, a 6 yard dump box,
a trailer mounted cement mixer, and a sidewalk plow.
The total dollar value I would spend for all of the items would be less than
$9,000 and could be financed from the Equipment Reserve Fund.
