Introduction
Annually, the City, of Elk Ri- er is asked to enter into a maintenance agreement with V7right
Count- for maintenance of the Parrish Avenue Bridge.
Discussion
Since the bridge was rebuilt mane rears ago, the City- of Elk River and W -tight County have shared
maintenance duties. Since 2002, this agreement has been entered into annually-, therefore, Wti g ht
Counry is asking the Cityl of Elk- River to once again enter into a maintenance agreement for the
Parrish Avenue Bridge during 2007. The agreement is exactly, the same as the agreement entered
into in past years.
Financial Im act
There is no financial impact beyond the maintenance issues that the city has currently- been
r
responsible for on the Parrish Avenue Bridge. These include maintenance of the street lights,
removal of snow from the sidew alk, maintenance of the slope and berms on the north approach,
snow and ice control from bridge and approaches, and removal of marling /spray- paint from
risible surfaces of bridge structure.
