Introduction
A quorum of Councilmembers will be attending a taping of the Mayor's show, Klin::jng Thoughts, but they
will not be convening a City Council meeting and no action will be taken.
Discussion
Mayor Klinzing and Councilmembers Motin and Zerwas will be attending the taping of Klin:;:jng Thoughts.
The Councilmembers will be taping different segments of the show and at the most only two
Councilmembers will be on at the same time to discuss items such as their goals during their terms and
their focus for 2007.
Only two members of Council should sit in during the taping session at one time.
There should be no discussion of city business by the three Councilmembers together either outside or
during the taping session as it could be seen as a violation of the Open Meeting Law.

Council motion acknowledging to the public that a quorum of the Council will be involved in taping a
cable TV production and no city business will be discussed or conducted by the three Councilmembers

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Elk River will be filming a production of the
Mayor's show, KJin;dng Thoughts, on Monday, January 29,2007, 1:00 p.m., at Elk River City Hall,
13065 Orono Parkway, Elk River, Minnesota. A quorum of the Elk River City Council will attend
the show taping; however, they will not convene a City Council meeting, and no action will be taken
by the City Council during the taping.
