Authorization to Purchase Two Pickup Trucks and Accessories
Park Maintenance
Introduction
Staff is requesting authorization to purchase two pickup trucks and related accessories.
Discussion
The approved 2007 parks maintenance budget includes 153,250 for two pickup truck and related
accessones.
Park maintenance staff is seeking to replace a 1990 and a 1991 pickup truck. These trucks were obtained
from the Building Department in 1998 and 1999. Both trucks have reached the end of their serviceable
life. Neither truck is equipped with airbags. Staff plans to purchase extended cab trucks to transport
seasonal workers more efficiently.
Both trucks are available at Elk River Ford through the State of Minnesota purchase contract (contract
#436604).
Financial Impact
The approved 2007 parks maintenance budget includes 153,250 for two pickup truck and related
accessories.
