Request to Hire a Part Time Custodian
Introduction
The Building Maintenance Department has been looking to hire two part time (20 hours per week)
custodial positions since October 2006.
Discussion
Staff hascompleted interviewing several candidates and is proposing Jeffery Schmatz as a candidate for
one of the two part time custodial positions open.
Financial Impact
Mr. Schmatz would start at Pay Grade 1, Step A ($11.54 per hour). He would receive a cost of living
increase January 1, 2008 and a step increase July 1, 2008 upon a successful performance review.
