Introduction
Approximately one year ago Sherburne County and the City of Elk River agreed to a tumback of
County Road 33 and County Road 77 in the area of the realigned and reconstructed CSAH 33.
Discussion
One of the benefits of taking a tumback of a county road is we are allowed to put it on our
Municipal State Aid System above and beyond our allocated mileage. This will allow us to
generate a small amount of additional annual allotment each year for having these miles on our
MSA system. In order to get these tumback county roads onto our State Aid System, a resolution
needs to be adopted by the City Council.
Financial Impact
The only financial impact will be a positive modest increase in the annual Municipal State Aid
allotment the City receives, once these miles are added to our system.
