SUBJECT: NO PARKING SIGNS
I would request that the City Council authorize a sign change on Main Street
from 400' east of Evans Avenue to Evans Avenue from "No Parking 6 a.m. to
6 p.m." to "No Parking Anytime". I would also request the installation of No
Parking signs on Main Street from Evans Avenue to Freeport Avenue and on
Evans Avenue from 2nd Street to Srd Street on both sides of the street
because the area described has the possibility of flooding and causing water
damage to automobiles that may be parked there.

Another parking issue that has come forward is parking by Orono Dam,
particularly on the south or east side in the curve and on the bridge. I would
suggest No Parking signs from the driveway into the Houlton farm to the
north side of the bridge on the east side, and just on the bridge on the west
side.
The Police Chief concurs with this recommendation.
