Introduction
The Elk River Fire Department recendy received a donation in the amount of $500 from the David R.
Marshall Foundation to be used by the Fire Department to purchase chain saws, which will be placed on
their grass fire trucks and used at grass fire incidents.
Discussion

Financial Impact
A contribution in the amount of $500 was received to be used for the purchase of chain saws.

It is requested that the Mayor and Council adopt the attached resolution acknowledging the monetary
contribution from the David R. Marshall Foundation pursuant to Minnesota Statute ~465.03.

RESOLUTION #07-
RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations,
and individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $500 contribution from the
David R Marshall Foundation to be used by the Elk River Fire Department
with the intent to purchase chain saws, which will be placed on their grass fire
trucks and used at grass fire incidents; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Elk River to acknowledge the support and commend the David R. Marshall
Foundation for their donation.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 16th day
of April 2007.
