SUBJECT: UPDATE ON CUSTOM MOTORS
REZONING
BACKGROUND
.
At the May 16, 1994, City Council meeting, a rezoning request by the City of
Elk River was presented to the City Council requesting the rezoning of
Custom Motors property from 11 (Light Industrial) to RIb (Single Family
Residential). After a lengthy discussion, the City Council recommended
deferring action on this item for two months to allow staff and the affected
property owners to further discuss the matter.
Since that last meeting, I have contacted Mr. Galliti and scheduled a meeting
on July 18, 1994, with the affected property owners to discuss issues
surrounding the requested rezoning. It is staffs full intention to have this
item discussed with the property owners and presented to the City Council on
August 15, 1994, for consideration.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the City Council table this item until the August 15, 1994,
City Council meeting.
