Dear city Administrator Klaers, Mayor Duitsman and Council Members,
Thank you for releasing the $5,000 funding you budgeted for the
Arts Counci for 1994. I am cashing the check today.
Not only are you the most important factor in keeping us going, but
it is good to see you reaffirming your belief in the importance in
what we do: strings for Youth, free concerts for the public,
showcasing of the work of local artists, a holiday concert for the
communi ty, a newsletter of communication about the local arts
scene, etc.

I am enclosing an audition flyer for our upcoming fund raiser
variety show - you may have seen the successful variety shows we
produced in '92 and '93. Please pass on the audition sheet to a
friend or family member if you are too busy yourselves. The show
runs September 16, 17, 23, and 24th.....we hope to see all of you
there.
You are also urged to attend the last of the ten Arts in the Park
concerts for this year. The last three concerts have been planned
in hopes that youth and young adults would find them exciting, and
become regular attendees as seniors and families have become.
"Mihrage" consists of Patrick Plant of Elk River and his cousin,
Max Bichel of Big Lake. I have heard their music on several
occasions, and know that they are professional and their music is
of artistic merit.
