attached report.
Background/Discussion
The past couple of years TNT fireworks have had a tent sale of fireworks in the Menards parking lot. To
staffs knowledge there have not been any issues in this location.

Introduction
The applicants are requesting a General Planning Permit to conduct firework sales from a 1,200
square foot sales tent located in the Menards parking lot, in the same location as last year.
Overview
The fireworks sales are proposed from June 20, 2007 through July 4, 2007; however, the tent may be
setup a couple days prior to the sales starting. The proposed location is in the southwest corner of
the parking lot, near Evans Street. It appears that in this location the tent will not disrupt traffic
flow nor will it create any parking problems.
Recommendation
Staff recommends approval of the General Planning Permit request for temporary fireworks sales in
a 1,200 square foot tent in the parking lot of Menards as indicated on the site plan, with the
following conditions:
1. No electrical services shall be across any drive or walking surface.
2. All applicable fire codes shall be met.
3. If traffic becomes a problem around the temporary site, the sales area shall be
delineated with a barrier to restrict traffic.
4. The sales tent be maintained free of debris and kept in an orderly condition.
5. The location of the tent is consistent with the submitted site plan.
6. The tent area be removed by July 11, 2007 the site be returned to its previous
condition.

description that we will be selling. We are not using a storage container this year.
The dates of operation will be June 20th through July 4th and the number of people
working in the tent will be 2.
