INTRODUCTION
The following board and commission terms will expire on December 31, 1994:

On October 25, 1993, the City Council adopted a board and commission appointment
policy. The policy states that all board and commission expirations and vacancies will be
advertised in the Elk River Star News. It also states that all current board and commission
members whose terms have expired, and who wish to reapply, shall follow the same
procedure as other applicants applying for the position. Therefore, it is staffs intention to
place an ad in the Elk River Star News regarding the above mentioned board and
commission expirations. Staff will also notifY each of the above members whose terms are
expiring on December 31, 1994, and inform them of the appointment policy adopted by
the City Council.
Recommended Action: Ibis item is an update for the City Council therefore, no action is
necessary at this time.
