Approval of the General Planning Permit request for temporary fireworks sales in a 20'x30' tent in the
parking lot of MP Convenience located at 13374 Highway 10, as indicated on the site plan, with the
conditions outlined in this report.
1. No electrical services shall be across any drive or walking surface.
2. All applicable fire codes shall be met.
3. If traffic becomes a problem around the temporary site, the sales area shall be
delineated with a barrier to restrict traffic.
4. The sales tent be maintained free of debris and kept in an orderly condition.
5. The location of the tent is consistent with the submitted site plan.
6. The tent area be removed by July 11, 2007 the site be returned to its previous
condition.
Backg-round/Discussion
The subject site is a former Cenex station, now called MP Convenience, located at 13374 Highway 10.
'Ibis location has not had a General Planning Permit for fireworks sales in the past.

Overview
The fireworks sales are proposed from June 27, 2007 through July 7, 2007; however, the tent may be
setup a couple days prior to the sales starting. The hours of operation will be from 9 a.m. - 10 p.m.
The proposed location is in the parking lot, straight out from the gas pumps near Highway 10. It appears
that in this location the tent will not disrupt traffic flow nor will it create any parking problems.
Recommendation
Staff recommends approval of the General Planning Permit request for temporary fireworks sales in a
20'x30' tent in the parking lot of MP Convenience as indicated on the site plan, with the conditions as
outlined above.
