Item Description
Authorization to Purchase an Enclosed Utility Trailer for
Recreational Equipment.
Action Requested
Staff is requesting authorization to purchase an enclosed utility trailer.
Background/Discussion
The Parks & Recreation Department would use the "Park & Play" trailer to offer programs in
neighborhood parks and community events such as National Night Out and 4th of July Event.
Other possible uses would be to offer it for rent to residents holding block parties, birthday parties,
family reunions or other similar events.
The trailer would be used to house the following equipment:
. Lawn Games
. Arts and Crafts (for Parks & Recreation Department use only)
. Sports equipment
. Tables and Chairs
. Road blocks (if available)
Financial Impact
Although the trailer was not budgeted for, we are able to make the purchase with the donations received
that will be approved at this meeting from local businesses. A 5x8 ft trailer with side door will cost $1,999
from Home Depot.
