Alcohol Compliance Checks
On Thursday, June 21, 2007, compliance checks were done in the City of Elk River by the
Sherburne County Public Health Department and Elk River Police Department.
MP Convenience failed the compliance check. A letter has been sent to the establishment
explaining that (1) they may request a hearing before the City Council or (2) they need to
submit the administrative penalty of $500 by August 27, 2007.
If MP Convenience requests a hearing, this item will be placed on the agenda for the City
Council to set the date of the hearing.

This letter is to inform you of the results for the Alcohol Compliance Checks for the City
of Elk River. The checks were conducted on Thursday, June 21,2007 during the hours of
6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Eric Balabon, Police Officer Elk River Police Department, Darren
McKernan, Police Officer Elk River Police Department, Mark Lees, Community Health
Coordinator Sherburne County Public Health Department, Dana Lodermeier, S.C.S.U.
Intern and two under aged youth checked twenty-four businesses that are licensed
through the City of Elk River.
MP Convenience Store was the only business to have an under age sale.
