SUBJECT: CALL SPECIAL MEETING
In accordance with the Truth in Taxation state law, the City Council has to
establish a Truth in Taxation public hearing for its budget and levy. This
date has been established as the December 5, 1994, regular City Council
meeting. The public hearing is to be held at 7:00 p.m.
Also in accordance with the Truth in Taxation state law, the City has to
establish a continuation date for the Truth in Taxation public hearing in case
the meeting needs to be continued to obtain more public input. At the
September 12, 1994, meeting, the City Council established this continuation
date as December 12, 1994. This Council meeting is to be held at 8:00 p.m.
(following the EDA meeting).
The Council should approve a motion calling for a special City Council
meeting on December 12, 1994, to begin at 8:00 p.m., in order to continue
consideration of the proposed 1995 City of Elk River budget and tax levy.
