City Council is asked to approve the hiring of Timothy Brezina for the Engineering Technician I position
at pay grade 4, step A ($15.43/hr.), effective July 9, 2007.
BackKround/Discussion
Staff is proposing Timothy Brezina as a candidate for the Engineering Technician I position. The
minimum qualifications for this position are successful completion of a civil technician program with no
work experience needed. Mr. Brezina is a recent graduate of St. Cloud Technical College with a diploma
in land surveying and civil engineering. Mr. Brezina has a few months of practical experience due to an
internship program during schooling.
Financial Impact
Mr. Brezina would start at pay grade 4, step A ($15.43/hr.). Provided satisfactory performance, he would
be eligible to receive any cost of living increase approved by Council after 6 months and be eligible for a
step increase on July 1,2008.
