Council authorization for McCoy's Pub to dispense intoxicating liquor off-premises at the Elk River Fire
Department Dance at Fire Station #1 (415 Jackson Avenue) on September 8, 2007 from 7:00 p.m. to
midoight. The liquor is to be dispensed and consumed inside of the fire station.
Backlround/Discussion
This event takes place at Elk River Fire Station #1 (415 Jackson Avenue). Per City of Elk River Code of
Ordinances, the City Council may authorize the holder of a retail on-sale intoxicating liquor license issued
by the City Council to dispense intoxicating liquor off-premises at a community festival held within the
city. The authorization shall specify the area in which the intoxicating liquor may be dispensed and
consumed, and shall not be issued unless the licensee demonsttates they have liability insurance to cover
the event. Mr. McCoy has submitted the proper insurance.
