Authorization to provide office space fox the coordinator of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program
(RSVP).
BackgroundlDiscussion
RSVP is losing their office space in the Handke building and has requested office space in the new Senior
Activity Centex. Senior Coordinatar Sue Kostanshek believes that RSVP's presence in the activity center
is an excellent fit with our programs and would generate traffic that will help market the new facility.
RSVP currently provides appxoxunatcly 6700 hours per year of volunteer service in Elk River. In
particular, they provide over 2000 hours to the Elk River Police Department. One of the existing small
study rooms could serve as RSVP's office.
Financial Impact
RSVP would require one phone line and intexnet access.
