SUBJECT: Chamber of Commerce - State of the City
Address
Jackie Schuelein, Executive Vice President of the Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce,
will be present at this meeting to discuss with the City Council the proposed 1995 State of
the City meeting. A date of Tuesday, March 21, 1995, is being suggested for the City
Council (and EDA) to address the Chamber members on "the State of the City".

We have not done a Chamber of Commerce State of the City Program for a few years and
the Chamber feels that it is once again time to be updated by City officials on current
events. Jackie may be offering some suggestions to the City Council on a theme for this
State of the City Address. I have mentioned to her that it is our ten year anniversary of
being a Star City and economic development (along with development in general) is
always an appropriate topic to discuss with Chamber members.
Councilmembers should give some thought to this State of the City date and to possible
topics on themes in order to provide Jackie with some feedback on her request.
