SUBJECT: TH10/169 Corridor Coalition Discussion with Tinklenberg
Group
Elwyn Tinklenberg of the Tinklenberg Group will be present to update the City Council on
activities of the Highway 10/169 Corridor Coalition. Minutes from recent meetings were
included in your October 1, 2007, Council packet. As I stated in the October memo, the city
has been a member of the coalition since its inception in 2000 and $4,750 is included in the
2008 budget for membership in the coalition. If a member city decides not to renew its
membership, notice must be given by December 1.
Mr. Tinklenberg will also provide an update to the Council on the Highway 10 funding. The
Tinklenberg Group worked with the City of Elk River on a contract basis through the end of
December 2006 to assist the city in obtaining federal funds. If the Council wishes to
continue this relationship, the Council should formally approve an extension or amendment
to the agreement for those services.
