This memo shall serve as my required notice of resignation as the City's Community
Development Director, effective December 7, 2007. I have elected to take a similar position
with the Citp of Columbia Heights, a first ring Minneapolis suburb, and will be working
primarily on community reinvestment issues. I want to thank the City Council and the City
Administrator fox their commitment to making the newly formed Community Development
Department a success, and hope that these endeavors extend into the future.
Lastly, I want to publicly acknowledge my appreciation to the Department's management
team and all other members of the Community Development staff, in their dedication to
achieving a unified and successful department as we pursued various Council initiatives.
