Request Authorization to transfer Recreation Coordinator Ross Demant to fill vacant Park Maintenance
position.
Background/Discussion
The anticipated internal hire of the Park Maintenance Supervisor will create a vacancy on the park
maintenance crew. Ross Demant, Recreation Coordinator, has requested a transfer to the park
maintenance division to fill this position. Ross has previous work experience with the City of Duluth
doing park maintenance work. The Recreation Coordinator position involves working multiple special
events and concerts on evenings and weekends which can impact work/life balance.
Financial Impact
This is a lateral move; positions are a grade level 6, budget neutral. Mr. Demant would be eligible for
scheduled pay and step increases pending satisfactory performance reviews.
