Action Requested
Approval of the request by Partners, Inc. located at 13374 Highway 10 for a tobacco license valid through
December 31, 2008.
Background/Discussion
Partners, Inc. is requesting a license to sell tobacco at 13374 Highway 10 (formerly MP Convenience).
The applicant has submitted all the necessary application material and has successfully completed a
background check. The tobacco licensing period runs January 1 through December 31. Due to the timing
of this request, staff is recommending the applicant be granted a license through December 31, 2008.
Moratorium
A moratorium is in place until July 15, 2008, on the licensing of tobacco sales for establishments where
the sale of tobacco products and smoking supplies is the rp imary business of the establishment. Partners,
Inc. is a convenience store at which tobacco products are not the primary business.
