SUBJECT: Library Board Appointments
INTRODUCTION:
There is currently one vacancy on the Library Board. This vacancy was
created when Vicki Sullivan resigned after serving three complete terms on
the Library Board.
John Dietz is currently a member of the Library Board but has indicated his
desire to resign due to his commitment to the Utilities Commission. A letter
• of resignation from John Dietz is included with this memo.
After advertising for several weeks for Library Board applicants, the City
received applications from two people indicating their interest in serving on
the Library Board. The applications were received from Ellen Kretsch and
Linda Ritchie.
I have requested both Ellen and Linda to stop in on Monday evening at 5:45
to meet the Council.
ACTION REQUESTED:
1) Meet the two new applicants.
2) Accept Resignation from John Dietz from the Library Board
3) Appoint two new applicant to the Library Board for the following
terms:
• 3 year term ending on 12/31/98
• 1 year term ending on 12/31/96
