SUBJECT: Ice Water Rescue
The Elk River Fire Department will be conducting an Ice/water rescue demonstration on
Saturday March 4, starting at 10:00 am at Lions Park in Elk River. The Elk River Fire
Department will be demonstrating various Ice/water rescue suits and also a product called
Rescue Alive. The Elk River Fire Department members will be training and testing their
skills in ice water rescue. Currently the Elk River Fire Department is engaged in a fund
raising drive for the purchase of the Rescue Alive, an Ice/water rescue product. The Fire
Department has received delivery of two Ice/water rescue suits, commonly known as
• Gumby Suits. I would like to invite you to the Ice/water rescue demonstration to be held
at Lions Park on Saturday March 4, 10:00 a.m, If you have any questions, please give me
