Council motion adopting the attached resolution authorizing the use of a safety deposit box at the First
National Bank of Elk River and giving staff authority for this use.
Background/Discussion
The city currently has a safety deposit box at First National Bank of Elk River which is being utilized for
the safe keeping of records. As part of our records disaster plan we keep a duplicate copy of permanent
records that are on microfiche in this safety deposit box. The bank requires the city adopt a resolution
authorizing the use of the safety deposit box and listing those who have authority for this use.

RESOLUTION 08 -
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE
OF A SAFETY DEPOSIT BOX
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elk River recognizes the need for the use
of a safety deposit box; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the Ciry of Elk River authorizes the rental of a safety
deposit box at the First National Bank of Elk River.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Ciry Council of the City of Elk
River gives authority to the City Administrator, Finance Director, and City Clerk for this use.
