A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION INDICATING THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
INTENT TO WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MN/DOT
IN PRESERVING RIGHT-OF-WAY ALONG THE
TRUNK HIGHWAY 169 CORRIDOR
WHEREAS,
Mn/DOT has identified Trunk Highway 169 through Elk River
has an Inter-Regional Corridor; and,
WHEREAS,
the purpose of an Inter-Regional Corridor classification is to
identify corridors for future preservation or traffic flow and
capacity by maintaining a freeway design standard; and,
WHEREAS,
in order to maintain a freeway design standard, Mn/DOT will
have to acquire right-of-way in the future for interchanges
along Trunk Highway 169.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Elk River, Minnesota:
The City Council intends to work in partnership with Mn/DOT in
preserving the right-of-way along the Trunk Highway 169 corridor for
future interchanges.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 15th day of
November, 1999.
