Call a special meeting for 5:30 p.m. on February 4, 2008.
Background/Discussion
The next Council planning workshop was originally scheduled for January 28 but because of scheduling
conflicts has been moved to February 4. I understand that the HRA will be cancelling the February 4
meeting and calling a special meeting for February 11 to sit in on the staff presentation of the December
parking count study. Since the HRA will not be meeting, the Council meeting has been moved to 5:30
p.m. for regular business with the intent that we are able to recess to worksession by around 6:00 p.m.
and relocate to the Chamber board room to continue the planning workshop.

I, Stephanie Klinzing, Mayor, hereby request a special meeting of the Elk River City
Council on Monday, February 4, 2008, at 5:30 p.m., at Elk River City Hall, 13065 Orono
Parkway, Elk River, Minnesota.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss regular business and hold a planning workshop.
In accordance with State Statute, I hereby request the city clerk to post this notice at least
three days prior to the meeting date. I further request the city clerk to notify each member of
the City Council of this special meeting, in writing, at least one day before the meeting.
