Please make plans to attend a press conference planned for Monday, January 28th
Brooklyn Park at 2:00 p.m. at the Maple Grove Government Center, Lower Level Conference
Room. The Press Conference will highlight the need for additional transportation
Champlin funding for Minnesota NOW and for our North Metro Area specifically. While
Circle Pines w~ will invite Metro area media, our focus will be on our NMMA outlets.
Coon Rapids In addition to your attendance at the event, we would like your assistance:
1. Ask your City Council Members and key staff to join you in attending the
Crystal event.
Dayton 2. Send us specific examples of problems in your city not being addressed
due to State or city transportation funding issues,
Lexington 3. Use Council Meeting and other local opportunities to discuss the need for
additional funding for local projects,

Minneapolis We are preparing comments now to be presented by Mayor Mark Steffenson and
others so please submit any suggestions and questions you may have at your
