PCSR 06-26-2007C .ver MEMORANDUM TO: Planning Commissioners FROM: Jeremy Barnhart, Planning Manager DATE: June 21, 2007 SUBJECT: Workshop agenda Included on the agenda for Tuesday's meeting are several proposed ordinances for discussion, including a changeable copy sign ordinance, a berm ordinance, and a commercial reserve ordinance. Staff is presenting these for initial review and comment, a formal discussion and public input is planned for July 10`''. Regarding the berm ordinance, a concern was raised that berms could be built to hide or otherwise bury cars and other refuse not appropriate for burial. The proposed text requires a permit for a berm higher than 3 feet. With a permit, an inspection would be required. For the Commercial Reserve Ordinance, it was noted in April that the Comprehensive Plan outlines a Commercial Reserve area, but the Zoning Ordinance does not provide any regulation. The proposed text gives some use options. The minimum lot size is 20 acres. Y~fc~n ~ ~ Sec 30-1 Definitions Berm means a mound ox wall of earth.
