Action Requested
Approve the hiring of Laura Estby as the Arena Office Assistant.
Background/Discussion
I feel Laura will bring a lot of new ideas and excitement to this position and will help develop our dry
floor events. She has a bachelor's degree in Arts and Mass Communications and has a lot of experience
in promotions and data entry. The office assistant position has a pay grade of 3, starting at $14.82 an
hour, working 20 hours per week. Laura will be eligible for a step increase after 6 months, provided a
satisfactory performance review is achieved. Laura is prepared to begin February 25, 2008, with Council
approval.
Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.
