SUBJECT: Accept Sonic's Waiver of Appeal for a Sign Variance
At the February 12, 2008 Board of Adjustments (BOA) meeting, the BOA denied the
request to allow additional wall signs on the proposed sonic building. Because of the denial
the variance has an automatic appeal to the City Council. The applicant has informed staff
they no longer wish to pursue the variance and are waiving their right to an appeal. The
applicant has withdrawn that variance request, the letter is attached.
No further action is necessary by the City Council.

We would like to withdraw our variance request for wall signage for the Sonic project on Carson
Street. Please let me know if you need an official letter or if this email will be sufficient.
