Mayor and Council adoption of attached resolution approving premises permit renewal fox the Elk River
Youth Hockey Association to allow charitable gambling on the premises of McCoy's Pub located at 651
Main Street.
Background/Discussion
The Elk River Youth Hockey Association has requested to renew their premises permit to conduct
charitable gambling at McCoy's Pub at 651 Main Street. The permit will run for two years from July 1,
2008 through June 30, 2010.
The Ciry's ordinance requires that 75 percent of the lawful purpose expenditures must be spent within
the City's trade area. The trade area fox Elk River consists of the following cities: Elk River, Ramsey,
Otsego, Rogers, and %immexman. 'The Elk River Youth Hockey Association has met this requirement.

RESOLUTION 08-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PREMISES PERMIT RENEWAL FOR THE
ELK RIVER YOUTH HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, The Elk River Youth Hockey Association has made application to the
State Gambling Control Board fox a Premises Permit Renewal; and,
WHEREAS, the Premises Permit will allow charitable gambling on the pxexxuses of
McCoy's Pub located at 651 Main Street in the City of Elk River for the
period of July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2010; and,
WHEREAS, The Elk River Youth Hockey Association has met the City's requirement
of spending 75 percent of its lawful expenditures within the City's trade
area during the past two years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk Rivet,
Minnesota that a Premises Permit be granted to the Elk River Youth Hockey Association to
allow charitable gambling operations at McCoy's Pub at 651 Main Street, Elk Rivet,
Minnesota.
