Action Requested
Council approval to purchase one 2008 Ford F350 Super Cab Pickup from Elk River Foxd through the
State contract fox use by Building Maintenance Division in the amount of $23,083.77 plus tax and
licensing. Staff is also requesting approval to purchase one 9-Foot western snow plow, also through the
State contract, in the amount of $3,595.80 plus tax and installation.
Background/Discussion
The requested purchase will replace a 1993 Chevy Blazer sold in 2007 and will be used fox grounds
maintenance, parking lot snow removal, equipment transportation, and towing of the electric man lift
from building to building. In the past, the Building Maintenance Division has had to borrow vehicles
from other divisions to accomplish these tasks.
Financial Impact
Funds have been designated fox this purchase in the 2008 budget in the amount of $32,OOQ which
includes vehicle purchase, plow equipment purchase, safety fighting, installation fees and box treatment.
