3.7. SR 03-03-2008REQUEST FOR ACTION To Item Number Cit Council 3.7. Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by Consent March 3, 2008 Rebecca Hau , Envixonmeutal Admui. Item Description Reviewed by Ordinance Amenduig Section 2-352 of the City Code of Loxi ohnson, City Administrator Ordinances Titled "Membership; officers; compensation of Reviewed by members" as it relates to the Bnexgy City Commission Action Requested Staff is requesting the Council adopt the attached ordinance amendment. Background/Discussion The Energy City Commission (ECC) is requesting an ordinance amendment to change the language under "Membership; officers; compensation of members" in the F.lk River City Code. The changes are related to the specific representation on the ECC. The ECC would like to change #4 to read "One representative designated by an area school district." The Elk River School District currently doesn't have a representative to appoint to the commission and this would be a good opportunity to allow the inclusion of other schools in the area. The ECC would like to change #8 to read "One representative from the builders' trade." The Suburban Northwest Builders Association has dissolved and this more generic representation would open up to a larger pool of candidates, but they would still have involvement in the trade.
