Authorization to oxdex grooming snowmobile for delivery in 2009.
Background/Discussion
The City owns two Ski-Doo Scandic snowmobiles for grooming cross country ski trails. These axe on a
seven year replacement schedule. The 2009 equipment CIP includes funds for replacing the 2002 Scandic
500 which cuxxendy has 3500 hours on it In oxdex to take delivery of the machine in January 2009, the
oxdex needs to be placed now. This is the same type of snowmobile used by Three Rivers Paxk District to
groom at Elm Creek Paxk Reserve.
Staff received four quotes:
Pro Power Sports, Ramsey, MN $9,599 + tax
St Boni Equipment, St Bonifaceous, MN $9,400 + tax
Bxewstex's, Maple Plain, MN $8,661 + ta~c
Truman Welters, Buffalo, MN $8,575 + tax
Staff is requesting authorization to place oxdex with Truman Welters of Buffalo, MN fox delivety in
January 2009.
Financial Impact
$8,575 + tax
Total - $9,132.57
