Authorization to purchase pond liner fox Pinewood golf course.
Background/Discussion
The pond on the frxst tee at Pinewood drains rapidly due the sandy soils in that area. In order to maintain
pond levels, staff needs to pump water into the pond five hours per day. The amount of water pumped
exceeds the amount allowed by DNR regulations. In addition, the well pump needed to be replaced last
year and staff believes that the excessive pumping was the primary cause of pump failure. The 2008
Putewood budget indudcd $15,000 fox lining the pond.
Staff received two quotes fox lining the pond with a 400 mil polypropylene liner.

Canamex Services Inc, Fountain City WI $17,686
Canamer's quote included an option for $2,000 savings if the City provided a loader and operator fox
unloading and moving the liner. Staff recommends accepting this option and contracting with Canamex
Services Inc. at a cost of $15,686.
