BackEround/Discussion
The City acquired approximately 90 acres of land from Cargill and intends to prepare the property for
industrial/commercial development. As a first step in the development process, the City, through its
Economic Development Authority, proposes to plat the property with outlots, preserving the necessary
road right-of--way, and identifying any potential title issues that could delay formal development. No
streets or public improvements are proposed to be constructed at this time.
The Street right of way is fairly fixed, with the connection to Ulysses to the north, and the Cargill agreed
connection to the south, and the existing gas easement along the west side of the road.
Platting the property as outlots allows the City to be flexible to accommodate desired users of the
property.
