SAFE & SOBER
This is to inform the Mayor and City Council that the Elk River Police Department and
Sherburne County SherifFs Department are the recipients of another Safe & Sober Grant.
At this time it is unknown what the amount of this grant will be, but I will keep you
informed.
I am requesting that you pass the attached Resolution, so it can be signed and addressed. If
you have any further questions or comments, please contact me.

RESOLUTION 02-
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT
BE IT RESOLVED that the Elk River Police Department enter into a grant
agreement with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety for
the project entitled SAFE & SOBER COMMUNITIES during the period from October 1,
2002 through September 20, 2003.
Chief Thomas Zenvas is hereby authorized to execute such agreements and
amendments as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the Elk River Police
Department and to be the fiscal agent and administer the grant.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 19m day of August, 2002.
