SUBJECT: Comprehensive Plan Membership and Meeting Schedule
Update
Staff has, with the assistance from the City's commissions, established the Comprehensive
Plan Update Task Force. The primary members of the Task Force are as follows:

John Kuester, Park and Recreation Commission
Larry Toth, Housing and Redevelopment Authority
Kurt Kragness, Heritage Preservation Commission
In addition to the members of the Comprehensive Plan Task Force, Hoisington Koegler
Group Inc. (I-[KGi) will be interviewing the following members of the community at large:

We have established the following schedule of events for the next several months:

Task Force Meeting #2 - Lions Park Center

Task Force Meeting #4 - Lions Park Center
All Task Force meetings are public the public is invited to attend. However, they may have
limited participation with the Task Force during these meetings. Staff of HKGi will facilitate
any interaction the public may have with the Task Force.
A tour of the community has yet to be scheduled for the members of the Task Force and
staff of HKGi.
Approximately three weeks ago Elk River Star News Editor Jim Boyle interviewed me for an
article regarding the Comprehensive Plan update. It is anticipated that this article will appear
in the April 24 TM edition of the newspaper. If we get additional resident volunteers for the
Task Force from this article, we will bring those volunteers forward to the City Council for
addition to the Task Force.
We are working closely with HKGi to communicate to the community the activities during
the Comprehensive Plan Update. An article will be included in the next issue of the Current,
slated to be delivered May 1, 2002, and a section will be added tothe C~ty' 's webs~te' for th~s'
issue.
