SR 10-21-200250th Anniversary of the Korean War Commemoration **Item The freedoms and liberties enjoyed by the citizens of this great Republic were won and have been protected by the men and women who became the veterans of the many wars in which this nation has been engaged, and Without the guarantors of our freedoms, our veterans, the way of life that we have enjoyed for over 200 years could not be sustained, and The citizens of this fair state are extremely proud of those men and women who have suffered hardships and made sacrifices in the defense of the United States of America, now I Governor/Mayor of the state/city of , do hereby call upon all my fellow citizens to take full advantage ot~ the special events tO recognize the "50th Anniversary of the Korean War," in honor of the men and women who served during the Korean War. Further, I urge all individuals, schools, churches, organizations, business establishments and homes within my official jurisdiction to proudly display the U.S. Flag and participate in programs in honor of all the Korean War veterans and veterans of all the wars in which the U.S. has been a part, which are to be co-sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and its Ladies Auxiliary and others during the commemoration period. (Governor/Mayor) (Date) Loyalty Day The citizens of this city are extremely proud of this nation's more than 200-year heritage of freedom and are loyal to the ideals, traditions and institutions which have made our nation so great, and Their obvious education to our way of life is indicative of a strong, continued desire to preserve the priceless American heritage, and They will be proud to stand and publicly declare their deter- ruination toward actively and positively safeguarding our free- doms against any foreign or domestic enemies, now I Mayor/Chairman of the city/town of , do hereby call upon all my fellow citizens to take full advantage of the spe- cial occasion known as Loyalty Day, celebrated annually for over 40 years throughout the nation on the first day of May, as an incentive for every true American to reaffirm his and her love of flag and country, and I urge that all individuals, schools, churches, organizations, business establishments and homes within my official jurisdiction to display proudly the flag of the United States and participate in public patriot- ic Loyalty Day activities which are to be co-sponsored by the VFW and the Ladies Auxiliary on Loyalty Day, May 1, 2003.
