Comprehensive Plan Update
Item 6.
The third public meeting was held Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at River of Life Church.
There were 27 attendees, eleven of which were Task Force members. During the meeting,
participants were asked to respond to a number of survey questions and identify on a variety
of maps potential future commercial locations, transportation issues, and additional
residential growth areas focusing specifically in east Elk River.
The next Task Force meeting will be Thursday, October 24 at Lion's Park Center. The Task
Force will also be scheduling meetings for November 21 and December 19.
he City s website has been updated with a link to the Comprehensive Planning Process on
the home page. Summaries of past public meetings have been posted as PDFs, which can
be downloaded by residents. The draft vision statement is also posted on the website and
can be downloaded as a PDF.
Councilmember Tveite may add additional comments at the meeting regarding the
Comprehensive Plan update process to date.
