Planning staff surveyed similar communities regarding land use application fees. These fees include: Administrative Subdivisions · Conditional Use Permits · Easement Vacations · Ordinance and Land Use Amendments · Plats · Site Plan Reviews · Subdivision Exemptions · Variances · Zone Changes · Planned Unit Developments Attached for the Council's review is a summary sheet detailing the various fee amounts. For the most part, our fees are not "out of line", however, they could afford to be increased slightly especially in regards to some of the residential applications. Many of the land use application fees have not been increased in recent years (at least three years). In addition, our escrows appear to be relatively low in relation to the amounts that we currently bill for engineering and attorney services. Staff recommends that the City Council consider the following changes regarding land use application fees: Memo to the Mayor and City CouncillLand Use Application Fees October 28, 2002 Page 2 Application Current Fee Proposed Fee Current Escrow Proposed Escrow A~tministrative $150 $20~) $150 $3 Subdivision Residential $100 $200 $200 Same Conditional Use Commercial/Industrial $300 $400 $200 $500 Conditional Use CUP Renewals $75 $150 $200 $300 Easement Vacation $150 $250 $150 $300 Ordinance $300 $400 None None Amendment Preliminary Plat $500 + $5 ea.
