SUBJECT: SNOWMOBILE MORATORIUM
This is to inform the city council that the Elk River Police Department will not be enforcing
the recent Snowmobile Moratorium for riders on Lake Orono. We will, however, continue
to enforce all other current snowmobile laws, which would include trespassing on private
property.
There may have been a misunderstanding regarding the recommendation by Michelle
McPherson, Director of Planning, regarding this issue when a snowmobile moratorium was
initiated a few weeks ago for south of County Road 33 in the City of Elk River.
