03-25-2002 CC MINMembers Present: Members Absent: Staff Present: MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL MONDAY, MARCH 25, 2002 Vice Mayor Tveite and Councilmembers Dietz, and Motin Mayor Fdinzing and Councilmember Kuester City Administrator Pat Fdaers, and City Clerk Sandra Peine 5.1. Call Meeting To Order Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River City Council was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Vice Mayor Tveite. Consider 3/25/02 Agenda COUNCILMEMBER MOTIN MOVED TO APPROVE THE AGENDA. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. Consider Consent Agenda COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA AS FOLLOWS: 3.1. CHECK REGISTER REQUEST FOR CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO ATTEND OUT OF STATE CONFERENCE COUNCILMEMBER MOTIN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. Open Mike No one appeared for open mike. Consider Resolution Regarding Project at the Intersection of TH 10 and Main Street The City Administrator indicated that the Region 7W Transportation Policy Board has selected the TH 10/Main Street intersection improvement for funding in 2005. He noted that federal funds have been committed to this project in the amount of $338,632 with the anticipation of a local matching grant of 20% of the cost, or $84,659. The City Administrator requested the Council to consider a resolution, which commits the City to provide the 20% matching grant amount of $84,659. He noted that the funding source would be from Minnesota State Aid funds. City Council Minutes March 25, 2002 5.2. Page 2 COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 02-25 REGARDING LOCAL FUNDING FOR A STATE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM PROJECT AT THE INTERSECTIN OF TRUNK HIGHWAY 10 AND MAIN STREET. COUNCILMEMBER MOTIN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. Legislative Update The City Administrator provided an update of current legislative bills and proposals. Other Business There was no other business. Staff Updates There were no staff updates.
