National Conference
Item# 3.2.
The International City/County Management Association (ICMA) will be holding its annual
national conference September 29-October 2, 2002, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Funds are
annually placed into the administration budget for attendance by the City Administrator at the
national conference and this is again the situation for 2002. Unfortunately I have not attended
the last three national conferences due to various reasons, but I am looking forward to the
Philadelphia conference. The ICMA national conference is always a wonderful opportunity to
gather with my peers and discuss current events and to attend and participate in relevant
seminars and worksessions.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council approve attendance for the City Admimstrator at the
2002 national conference in Philadelphia.
