SUBJECT: HIRING A POLICE OFFICER
This memo is to inform the city council that the Elk River Police Department has been
conducting the selection process for a police officer. Our course of action has recently been
in question due to the uncertainty of the duration of Officer Todd Besser's military leave of
absence and how this would impact the person being hired.
I will be asking the city council next Monday night for their direction on how you would like
our depaxtment to proceed with this issue. If you have any questions, give me a call.
