01-007 RESRESOLUTION 01-07 CITY OF ELK RIVER APPROVE LAYOUT FOR THE PARK AND RIDE FACILITY NEAR TRUNK HIGHWAY 10 AND TYLER STREET/171sT AVENUE INTERSECTION MN/DOT PROJECT S.P. NO. 7102 - 54 WHEREAS, the Commissioner of the Department of Transportation has prepared a preliminary layout for the construction of a park and Ride Facility near T.H. 10 and Tyler Street/171st Avenue, within the corporate limits of Elk River, and seeks the approval thereof; and WHEREAS, said preliminary layouts are on file in the Office of the Department of Transportation, Saint Paul, Minnesota, being marked, labeled, and identified as Layout No. 1, near T.H. 10 and Tyler Street/171st Avenue, Elk River, Propose Park and Ride facility, prepared January 17, 2001. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River as follows: That said preliminary Layout No. 1 prepared January 17, 2001, for the improvement of said Trunk Highway within the corporate limits be and hereby is approved, with the following conditions: 1. That MN/DOT continue to work with City staff and the developer of Elk River Station on final design of the facility; The final layout/design of the facility shall include sidewalks to encourage pedestrian access and landscaping to be approved by the City; That MN/DOT work with the City on the timing of each phase of the project and which improvements will be installed as part of each phase.
